To better address the issues surrounding public company audits, the AICPA AICPA

 has established the Center for Audit Quality. Created by the AICPA and the leading public company auditing firms, the CAQ CAQ Center for Audit Quality (New York, New York)

CAQ Condition Adverse to Quality
 is an expansion and replacement of the AICPA's previous Center for Public Company Audit Firms. The CAQ aims to foster confidence in the audit process and aid investors and the capital markets by advancing constructive suggestions for change rooted in the profession's core values of integrity, objectivity, honesty and trust. As an autonomous organization affiliated with the AICPA, the CAQ is governed gov·ern

 by a board consisting of AICPA President & CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. The CAQ (www.thecaq.org) is self-supporting and entirely funded by member dues.
