) announced today that Bell Canada, the largest Canadian communications company Communications Company is a communications unit of the United States Marine Corps. They are part of Combat Logistics Regiment 37 , 3rd Marine Logistics Group (3MLG) and III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF). The unit is based out of the Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D.  and first of its kind to receive a WebTrust seal of assurance, recently upgraded to version 2.0 of WebTrust. Version 2.0 includes enhancements to WebTrust's Principles and Criteria covering information privacy protection and customer complaint resolution. ), WebTrust is designed to make the Internet a safer place to shop and to help online businesses build customer confidence in electronic commerce.

CPAs and their international counterparts use WebTrust 2.0 Principles and Criteria to rigorously examine the following:

1. Business Practices and Information Privacy: the site discloses its

business and information privacy practices for e-commerce

transactions and executes them in accordance with those practices.

Examples of these disclosures include: how information collected

online may be used or distributed and how customers can opt out;

how to file a complaint; how to obtain customer service and

support; and practices concerning returns, warranty claims,

delivery methods and payment terms. 2. Transaction Integrity: the site maintains effective controls to

provide reasonable assurance that e-commerce transactions are

completed and billed as agreed. 3. Information Protection: the site maintains effective controls to

provide reasonable assurance that private information obtained at

the site is protected from uses not related to the site's

business.
