AIC to Debut Gemini Server Platform at NAB.

Unprecedented Price-Performance Server Platform Delivers Automated Energy-Efficiency and Intelligent Performance from Post-Productions to Content Distributions

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Advanced Industrial Computer (AIC AIC Association des Infermières Canadiennes. ), an industry leading provider of OEM/ODM server and storage platforms, announced today the debut of Gemini Server and Storage platforms at National Associations of Broadcasters Show (NAB). The Gemini platform shatters the limitation of data bandwidth faced by the electronic media industry today, and enables compelling visual computing The use of computers for 3D modeling and animation. AIC's Gemini platform with dual Intel 5520 chipsets improves bandwidth capabilities and gives users free access to 72 lanes of PCI Express A high-speed peripheral interconnect from Intel introduced in 2002. Note that although sometimes abbreviated "PCX," PCI Express is not the same as "PCI-X" (see PCI-SIG and PCI-X for comparison). As a result of the confusion, "PCI-E" or "PCIe" is the accepted abbreviation.  (68 Gen2 PCI Express). It supports two(2) dual/quad-core Intel[R] Xeon[R] processor 5500 series, revolutionary DDR (Double Data Rate) Refers to an SDRAM memory chip that increases performance by doubling the effective data rate of the frontside bus. With energy-optimizing features such as Automated Low-Power States (which automatically puts the processor, memory and I/O controller into the lowest available power states) and Intel[R] Turbo Boost Technology (which enables CPUs to run at higher-than-stated frequency when operating below power and thermal design points), AIC Gemini Series Server and Storage Bare-Bones System delivers an unprecedented combination of speed, power savings and deployment flexibility.
