Gemini Series Products Feature Max I/O[TM] and Support for up to 72 User Definable PCI Express Lanes

By implementing Intel's most advanced designs to date in processors and chipsets with AIC-patented MAX I/O([TM]) technology, AIC Gemini solutions deliver amazing performance and capability to maximize all available I/O bandwidth by pushing the boundaries of Gen 2 PCI Express.

Gemini's base configuration includes:

* 2 x LGA1366 sockets to support Dual Intel[R] Xeon[R] Processor 5500 Series (60W, 80W, 95W, 130W and 2.40GHz, 2.53GHz, 2.66GHz with Intel[R] Quick Path Interconnect links

* 6 DDR3 RDIMM per processor; total 12 DIMM for up to 192GB of memory capacity (2 DIMM per Channel, 3 Channel per Processor)

* 6 x Intel 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 x Intel 82571, 1 x Intel 82575, 1 x 82574, 1 x 82566)

* 6 x SATA-II ports

* Onboard AST2050 BMC for IPMI 2.0 and iKVM support

* Max I/O native PCI Express switch to support up to 72 User Definable PCI Express lanes from Dual Intel[R] 5520 chipsets

* Other features of Intel Xeon 5500 platform - QPI, SMT, Turbo Mode, DDR3, STTNI, SNI instructions, extended VT-x, VT-d, and VMDq.
