The program electronically reads words on a scanned document, marks them for recognition, and places them into a searchable database Refers to databases on the Web that are searchable by typing in a query. The term is quite redundant because all databases are searchable. In fact, that is one of their major features.  as they are scanned into IMPACT.MD(R), AIC's award-winning document imaging solution. SEARCH.MD allows IMPACT.MD clients the ability to search documents as they are being scanned, and also previously scanned, archived documents.

IMPACT.MD is a Windows-based, medical document imaging software system for healthcare organizations. The product serves as a single, flexible repository for all of the patient-related paper that flows around an organization, whether it is generated from within the office, such as phone messages and office notes, or outside the office, such as lab results and referral letters. Authorized users can access patient records instantly with the click of a mouse from any workstation, which eliminates the need for paper records.

Representatives from AIC will demonstrate this new product at booth #1003 during the 2004 TEPR conference from May 19 thru May 21, 2004.
