Advanced Hi-Tech Corp. (AHT) today confirmed that Canon Inc., Danka Business Systems and Lexmark International, three of the company's most highly regarded partners, will demonstrate their latest AHT-derived products at On Demand 2000.

At AHT's booth No. 2812, printing professionals will witness the advanced digital printing solutions provided by the AHT Document Server for Canon (DSC), as well as Squadron(TM) connectivity to the Danka DigiSource 9110. In addition, Lexmark will show how it will bring cluster printing to the digital market with AHT's Image Manager(TM).

In particular, AHT's expertise is demonstrated with the DSC, which teams the high-volume workflow management capabilities of AHT's controllers with Canon's feature-rich color and black and white digital multifunction solutions.

With significant distributed management functions for Canon's imageRUNNER 600 and CLC 1000, organizations can balance their workload more equitably among devices installed in one or more locations and produce materials closer to the point of demand, without sacrificing overall control of the process.

Users are also able to take full advantage of Canon color, network connectivity and automated document finishing capabilities to increase output quality. The DSC, which can also be seen at the Canon booth, will be available March 2000.

Squadron, a powerful printing enhancement tool designed originally for AHT's FIBRE Gateway front-end, uses JAVA client server software to control printing from anywhere on a network or anywhere worldwide via the Internet.

Combined with the Squadron technology, the DigiSource 9110 offers users options for parallel processing of print jobs to multiple printers and multiple brands simultaneously, as well as Internet submission to multiple physical locations. In addition, users benefit significantly from faster printing speeds of up to 1,500 ppm at 600 dpi. Squadron's scalable architecture can utilize from 1 to 14 processor systems at any one time.

Late last year, Lexmark and AHT announced a strategic alliance, integrating and optimizing AHT's Image Manager cluster printing solution with Lexmark's Optra printers. With cluster printing server software, network laser printers are a very cost-effective alternative to any printing situation where a mid-range printer would normally be utilized.
