AHMA to Publish Industry Newsletter The Hard Fax.

Industry Veteran Joins AHMA Professional Team

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) announced today that it will begin publishing the popular industry publication The Hard Fax: Home Improvement Industry News. Additionally, Terrence V. Gallagher has joined the organization as manager of communications.

"The Hard Fax has proven over the years to be a solid, reliable source of news and information for industry executives, with a strategic sensibility to time demands on all of us," said Timothy S. Farrell, AHMA's president and chief executive officer. "Our goal is to figure out how we can effectively expand on this already successful publication initiative to provide added value and service to the members of AHMA, while continuing to grow as an expert source of information and trends to the industry at large."

Gallagher has been publisher of The Hard Fax for 13 years. He previously spent 22 years with the publishing division of capital Cities/ABC, where he oversaw total editorial management of four monthly publications: Hardware Age, Outdoor Power Equipment, Decorative Products World, and Garden Supply Retailer.

"Terry is a true industry veteran, a gifted writer, editor, and communicator, and has shown his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the hardware/home improvement industry by producing his own, very successful, weekly newsletter for the last thirteen years," said Farrell. "We are looking forward to drawing on Terry's considerable experience to provide AHMA with new insights that will further enhance our member programs services and benefits."
