The Bruins dominated the meet Saturday at Cal State Northridge, with six women winning seven events and 12 individuals in all qualifying.

Monique Henderson Monique Henderson (born February 18, 1983 in San Diego, California) is a track and field athlete, competing internationally for the United States. She was a gold medalist in the 4x400m relay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.  (400 meters) and Sheena Gordon (high jump) set personal bests for UCLA, and Sheena Johnson Sheena Johnson (born 1 October 1982) is an American hurdler.

She finished fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympics and eighth at the 2006 World Athletics Final.

Her personal best time is 52.95 seconds, achieved in July 2004 in Sacramento.

``It was a really good day for the Bruin women and men,'' UCLA women's coach Jeanette Bolden Jeanette Boldon (born January 26 1960). is a former American athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres.

She competed for the United States in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, U.S.

The Bruins women scored 141 points, 62 points ahead of second-place USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. . The men also scored 141 points in beating second-place USC by 59. The men weren't considered national contenders earlier in the season but have to be after qualifying 15 individuals and having three athletes combine to win five events.

For Henderson, the personal best was a long time coming. Her time of 50.65 surpassed the 50.74 she ran to set the national high school record four years ago. Henderson was the athlete Allyson Felix Allyson Felix (born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California) is a track and field sprint athlete, competing internationally for the United States in the 200 meters. Felix, born and raised in southern California, is also a devout Christian and is the daughter of an ordained  said she aspired to beat when she was a freshman and sophomore in high school.

``It's the little steps that get you to the big show - the NCAAs and the Olympic trials,'' Henderson said. ``This is a little step. It took four years to reach my personal best. This is a great accomplishment for me at this time of my career. I feel strong. I haven't reached my maximum potential yet.''

Gordon won the high jump in 6 feet, 2 inches, moving her past Jackie Joyner-Kersee Jackie Joyner-Kersee (born March 3, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illinois) is a retired American athlete, ranked amongst the all-time greatest in heptathlon as well as the long jump. She won three gold, one silver and two bronze Olympic medals.  for second place on UCLA's all-time list.

UCLA took inspiration from Sani Roseby, who broke her hand in preliminaries Friday but advanced in the 100 meters, 100 hurdles and with the 400 relay team while wearing a cast.

Jessica Crosby, a four-time City Section shot put champion at Cleveland High of Reseda, finished third for UCLA in the shot put. Crosby won the hammer throw hammer throw

Allyson Felix's brother Wes of USC, who went to high school at Valencia, won the 200 in a photo finish with former prep rival Seth Amoo.

Amoo, from Arizona State, beat Felix whenever they met in high school when he was at Highland of Palmdale and won the state title in the 200. But Felix has turned the tables in college, winning the Pac-10 title the past two years. This was their closest race, with each runner clocking in at 20.78.

Felix, a junior, didn't fare well at the NCAA championships last year, bowing out in the semifinals. But he thinks he is ready to contend this season. He currently ranks sixth in the NCAA.

``Last year, I only got to the semis but it was my first time there,'' Felix said. ``It was a new experience that taught me a lot for this year.''

A year ago at this time, it looked like Allyson Felix might be representing USC in the NCAA championships with Wes this season. However, Felix decided to go professional right out of L.A. Baptist High in North Hills.

The two will meet up at the Olympic trials in July, where Wes Felix plans to use the stage as a learning experience for the future just like he did with last year's NCAA championships. His sister will be trying to make the team.
