AGY Holding Corp. Announces New Partners in Asia-Pacific Region: Major Distributors Signed in Japan, China and Korea.

AIKEN, S.C. -- AGY Holding Corp. ("AGY" or the "Company"), a leading global producer of fiberglass yarns and high-strength fiberglass reinforcements, announced today that it has entered into partnership agreements with a network of distributors in the Asia-Pacific region to distribute AGY Continuous Filament Mat (CFM) products.

The appointment of six new distributors in Japan, China and Korea allows AGY to expand the availability of its glass reinforcement products and positions both AGY and its partners to take advantage of the growing need for CFM products in the region.

The new distribution partners are responsible for sales and marketing activities in their regions as well as providing support and other technical services to customers located throughout those geographical areas. The full family of AGY CFM products suitable for all CFM applications will be available."

AGY's CFM products were previously distributed by OCV Reinforcements. AGY acquired a CFM plant from OCV Reinforcements in October 2007. Under terms of the agreement, OCV Reinforcements continued as interim distributor of AGY's CFM products until August 31, 2008.
