from all types of microorganisms including bacterial endospores. By providing the user a simple straightforward means to extract DNA, time-intensive multistep processes that often rely on hazardous chemicals are avoided. Suzanne South, AGT's Director of Biodevelopment, says, "The PlasmaGen APR-510-S offers time- and money-saving advantages over existing methods that make it a truly competitive addition to the marketplace."

This breakthrough product will be showcased in R&D Magazine's September 2005 issue and will be on display during the gala awards ceremony to be held October 20, 2005 at Chicago's Navy Pier. AGT is actively developing a sales and marketing campaign for the PlasmaGen APR-510-S and has placed product as far away as Japan.

"AGT is developing its patented atmospheric plasma technology for a number of products ranging from biotechnology to materials processing. This second R&D 100 Award is an affirmation of the quality product development being performed by our highly trained technical team," said Kimberly Kelly-Wintenberg, President and COO.

The R&D Award is presented by R&D Magazine for the world's 100 most technologically significant products introduced that year. AGT won its first R&D 100 Award in 2002 for its EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format.  Air Purification System. AGT is a market driven science and engineering company focused on realizing the commercial potential of the patented One Atmosphere Uniform Glow Discharge Plasma (OAUGDP OAUGDP One Atmosphere Uniform Glow Discharge Plasma (R)) technology, a method of creating plasma chemistry in air at atmospheric pressure. Management believes that the OAUGDP(R) is an exciting breakthrough in proprietary technology offering capabilities that other plasma technologies do not provide. Moreover, AGT is working to expand the applicability of its OAUGDP(R) technology and has targeted new market and product opportunities with the goal of creating additional shareholder value. AGT's technology has been the recipient of numerous federal contracts and grants and recognition awards. Additional information is available at http://www.atmosphericglow.com.
