The research program, sponsored by Senators Bill Frist and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, will be conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel ma·te·ri·el or ma·té·ri·el

 Command. The $1.75 million program will address the difficulties in providing medical device sterilization for highly mobile forces such as Forward Surgical Teams. AGT will work to develop a robust portable sterilization system to meet military needs. This contract will build upon AGT's previous SBIR SBIR Small Business Innovation Research (program/grant)
