AGS Names John Deyermond Associate Vice President.

 Government Services (AGS AGS American Geriatrics Society. ), an expert provider of managerial, technical, and support services for government and commercial practices, has appointed John Deyermond as Associate Vice President.

Deyermond is responsible for new business development within AGS, whose clients include federal, state, local, and foreign governments; multinational military forces; and commercial customers. AGS, which acts as the government services arm of AECOM, a leading global provider of design and management services in the transportation, facilities and environmental markets, has been a leader in its market for more than 70 years.

 Al Konvicka, AGS president, Deyermond will play a key role in helping to advance AGS's strategy of expanding its offerings and presence in the federal services market. Additionally, should AGS be successful in its pursuit of the Army's Logistics Civil Augmentation Program Standing, long-term contacts designed to augment Service logistic capabilities with contract support in both preplanned and short notice contingencies. Deyermond brings more than 25 years of experience from a variety of operational and logistic assignments to AGS. Most recently, he was director of the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, supporting the U.S. Threat Reduction Agency for Bechtel Group. His background also includes a career in the U.S. Army, where he rose to the rank of major general, maintaining wide-ranging responsibilities, including oversight of multiple engineering and construction projects.
