AGRAM.

www.bk.tudelft.nl/d-arch/agram

Agram is a collection of databases on (as yet) a few master architects on a site run by the architecture department of the University of Delft Delft (dĕlft), city (1994 pop. 91,941), South Holland prov., W Netherlands. It has varied industries and is noted for its ceramics (china, tiles, and pottery) known as delftware. Founded in the 11th cent. . Data is largely visual, photographs, not drawings. Each entry has summary information about the project and, usually, several decent photographs from named sources. Pictures of each project are shown as a miniature catalogue and each can be enlarged on the screen in the normal way Sorts are possible (in English) by name and date of design, and searches by name are possible, but not with Boolean operators. A very short biography is appended to each database. So far, the only architects covered are Le Corbusier Le Corbusier (lə kôrbüzyā`), pseud. of Charles Édouard Jeanneret (shärl ādwär` zhänərā`), 1887–1965, French architect, b. La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. , Duiker duiker (dī`kər, dā`–), name for members of a group of small, light antelopes, found in thick brush and forest over most of Africa. All stand under 25 in. (64 cm) high at the shoulder. , Jujol, Loos, Schinkel and Melnikov. The format and choice of subjects has been approved by a distinguished board: Wiek Ruling, Max Risselada, Kenneth Frampton and Beatrice Collonna.

Clearly a site with much potential, both for inclusion of other architects, and for including further information (particularly drawings), but useful now, none the less. For instance on the Corb site www.bk.tudelft.n1/d-arch/agram/corbu/INDEX.HTM HTM HyperText Markup (file extension)
