AGL Resources Names Myra Coleman Corporate Secretary and Securities Counsel.

ATLANTA -- AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG) announced today that Myra Coleman has been appointed corporate secretary and securities counsel, effective immediately. She previously served as executive director, corporate governance and securities counsel.

"Myra is the right person at the right time," said Paula Rosput Reynolds, chairman, president and chief executive officer. "Given the increasing challenges of corporate governance, Myra's background and considerable talents will allow us to deepen our transparency to shareholders, securities regulators and the public. In her new role, Coleman is responsible for all corporate governance and securities law compliance and disclosure matters. She will report to Paul R. Shlanta, senior vice president, general counsel and chief corporate compliance officer."

Coleman, a member of the New York state bar, is also a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and its In-House Counsel Committee and Mentor Program Planning Committee.

Coleman, who received her law degree from Georgetown University Law School, also serves on the Georgia State Bar Diversity Program Committee. Her professional affiliations include the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, where she is secretary and Advisory Committee member for the Southeastern Chapter. Coleman was the lead governance counsel for AGL when the company was honored with the Georgia Business Ethics Award in 2004.

She and her family live in Atlanta.
