AGL Resources Names James Gillis President of AGL Networks.


ATLANTA -- AGL Resources AGL Resources, Inc. is a Fortune 1000, Forbes 2000 energy services holding company. Their principal business is distribution of natural gas in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia, providing gas for more than 2.2 million customers.  today announced that James Gillis has been named President of AGL (programming) AGL - (Atelier de Genie Logiciel) French for IPSE.  Networks, effective immediately. Previously, Gillis served as vice president, sales and business development for AGL Networks. Gillis joined the company in 2003 as vice president of wholesale markets.

"When we looked for the right person to fill this position, we didn't have to look far," said Drew Evans, executive vice president and chief financial officer, whose responsibilities include oversight of AGL Networks. "It's not often you find the right balance between executive skills and client service. Jim knows what our network clients need and how to serve them."

Gillis was named vice president of sales and business development in January 2004. He was responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of sales and marketing of the wholesale and enterprise markets while evaluating new strategic markets for customers.

Gillis has over 25 years of sales and business development experience with the last 12 years in the telecommunications market.
