AGFA Announces Strategic Relationship With Microsoft; Agfa ePhoto to Support Windows 98.


WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1998--Agfa, the world leader in imaging products and systems, today announced a strategic relationship with Microsoft Corporation (company) Microsoft Corporation - The biggest supplier of operating systems and other software for IBM PC compatibles. Software products include MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, Windows NT, Microsoft Access, LAN Manager, MS Client, SQL Server, Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC), MS Mail,  in which its ePhoto digital camera family takes advantage of the Microsoft Windows See Windows.

Providing photo-quality, 1.2 million pixel images within an elegant, Swivel-zoom design, the ePhoto 1280 is a feature-rich digital camera designed for professionals who use photos in their work. Introduced in September 1997, the ePhoto 1280 has a recently reduced suggested price of $799.

The Agfa ePhoto 780 is an exceptionally fast point-and-shoot digital camera aimed at meeting the demand for superior image quality at a price of $399. In addition to "best-in class" quality images, the 780 sets a standard in image processing image processing
