AGENCY.COM Appoints Aaron Sugarman President Of AGENCY.COM: New York.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1998--AGENCY.COM (1) (Computer Output Microfilm) Creating microfilm or microfiche from the computer. A COM machine receives print-image output from the computer either online or via tape or disk and creates a film image of each page.  has announced the promotion of Aaron Sugarman (35) from Vice President, Creative Director to the position of President, AGENCY.COM: New York. The promotion is effective immediately. Reporting directly to CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Chan Suh, Sugarman will be responsible for managing the New York staff including the creative, technical and account services departments.

Sugarman joined AGENCY.COM in May of 1996 as its first creative director. In that role, he had a hand in shaping sites for a wide range of clients, including American Express, British Airways, MetLife and Nike, among others.

Promoted to vice president, creative director in October of 1997, Sugarman built an eclectic team of creative directors, art directors, designers, and site editors that has earned more than a dozen major interactive awards in the past year.

Prior to joining AGENCY.COM, Sugarman served as the original editor-in-chief of Conde Nast Traveler Online, which was named "Top Commercial Web Site" by Interactive Week in 1996. Prior to that assignment, he was a senior editor at Conde Nast Traveler magazine, which during his tenure earned four National Magazine Awards from the American Society of Magazine Editors For the engineering society, see .
