Ayres Advertising/Marketing, Lincoln, Neb., has promoted Mitchell Bowles to associate media director. In his new position, Bowles will assist in the supervision of the agency's media department, in addition to continuing in his media planning role. Ayres hires Patti Karabel as media planner/buyer, Steve Newman as production manager and Jessica Heiden as account coordinator.

John Wieschhaus joins Freebairn & Co., Atlanta, as a senior art director. Most recently, he worked with WestWayne advertising in Atlanta.

Julie Lux joins Germinder & Associates, Kansas City, Mo., as vice president, media relations and site content. Most recently, Lux served as public relations and marketing director for the National Rural Health Association.

Jerry Schleicher joins the client services group of The Duff Company, Kansas City, Mo. Schleicher most recently served as president of Schleicher & Associates LLC, a marketing communications firm serving a variety of industrial, agricultural and aviation clients.

Dan Kirkpatrick joins Meyocks & Priebe Advertising Inc., West Des Moines, Iowa, as a senior public relations manager. Kirkpatrick previously was director of editorial content with E-Markets.

Bader Rutter & Associates, Brookfield, Wis., promotes Jon Anderson to group supervisor from account supervisor.
