Corporation(tm), formerly agentGO, the technology leader in real-time mobile decision support solutions for the enterprise, and Nazomi Communications, the inventor of integrated Java co-processor technology, today announced a strategic partnership in which AGEA's Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME (Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition) A version of Java 2 for cellphones, PDAs and consumer appliances.  for enhanced performance marked by a tenfold increase in speed.

"We are committed to improving the performance of our applications," said Andres Carvallo, chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of AGEA. "By leveraging the JSTAR microprocessor with our technology, our enterprise clients will see a faster run time which will result in increased productivity."

AGEA's applications that will benefit from the JSTAR technology include AGEA MobileDASH, the AGEA Office product suite, and the AGEA Back Office product suite.

Nazomi's JSTAR coprocessor increases the efficiency and speed at which Java software runs by a factor of ten. Java-enabled mobile devices, Internet appliances and embedded applications that include JSTAR allow Java software to be as responsive as native software without requiring any additional resources. Using optimization techniques, on-the-fly interpretation, and clever data management, a JSTAR-enhanced system accesses memory between twelve and fifteen fewer times than software-only interpreters and compilers, contributing to the performance gains and also significantly reducing overall system power consumption.

JSTAR is a unique instruction path coprocessor that integrates with any stand-alone microprocessor or system on a chip (SoC) that includes a microprocessor core to accelerate Java bytecode Java bytecode is the form of instructions that the Java virtual machine executes. Each bytecode instruction is one byte in length (hence the name), thus the number of bytecodes is limited to 256. "We are delighted that AGEA has recognized that JSTAR bridges the performance gap between Java application A Java program that is run stand alone. The Java Virtual Machine in the client or server is interpreting the instructions. Contrast with Java applet. "With its solid commitment to J2ME technology and attention to performance, AGEA is poised as a leader in the wireless enterprise."
