AGCO Corp., Duluth, Ga., lost two employees after their private jet
crashed during take-off in England on January 4. John Shumejda,
president and CEO, along with Ed Swingle, senior vice president, sales
and marketing, were killed in the crash. The company's executive
chairman, Robert Ratliff, will assume the additional responsibility of
president and CEO on an interim basis. James M. Seaver has been
appointed senior vice president, sales and marketing worldwide. Seaver
has served in many senior management roles within AGCO since his early
participation as a co-founder of the company. In this position he will
be responsible for the management of the sales and marketing activities
of the global regions of North America, South America, Europe, Africa
& MidEast, and East Asia Pacific.
