AGCO Corp. (Marketing News).


AGCO Corp., Duluth, Ga., selects the operations site in Jackson, Minn., as the new manufacturing facility for the Challenger track tractor series. In early March, AGCO announced the closing of the DeKalb DeKalb (dēkălb), city (1990 pop. 34,925), DeKalb co., N Ill., in a farm area; inc. 1861. The city is a distribution center with manufactures that include plastics, electrical equipment, and agricultural silos. There also are agricultural research facilities., Ill., plant, where the tractors are currently manufactured. The move will bring approximately 100 new jobs and 40 relocated jobs to the Jackson site. Production will begin in July 2003.
