AGCO BREAKS GROUND FOR NEW TRAINING FACILITY.AGCO AGCO - Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario AGCO - Anderson, Greenwood, & Company Corp. celebrated ground-breaking ceremonies last month for a new training center at its Hay and Forage Industries facility in Hesston, Kan. The training center, scheduled for completion in May 2001, will consolidate product and service training activities to HFI HFI - Health Facility Institute HFI - Healthy Forests Initiative HFI - Hepatitis Foundation International HFI - Hereditary Fructose Intolerance HFI - High-Frequency Induction HFI - Highly Food Insecure HFI - Hollywood Film Institute (since 1990; in Santa Monica, California) HFI - Host Front-End Interface HFI - Human Factors Interface HFI - Human Factors International HFI - Human Freedom Index HFI - Hunt Foods and Industries, which currently is the location of all AGCO North American manufacturing operations. HFI has grown to enclose 1.3 million square feet of floor space, with 150 acres available to allow for future growth of the multi-acre manufacturing plant. HFI currently employs more than 1,100 personnel and manufactures several different lines of machinery for AGCO, including hay tools, manure spreaders and combines. "Location, location, location," says HFI general manager Chuck Miller. "That is what it is all about. A training center amidst our largest manufacturing facility in North America is a very practical and much-needed solution to AGCO's current training programs." "When AGCO purchased the remaining 50 percent of HFI, it opened an opportunity to establish a truly outstanding training center at Hesston," states Ed Swingle, AGCO senior vice president, sales and marketing, North, South and Latin America. "Improved training will add value to the service and support AGCO and its dealers currently provide to our customers." |
