AGC: lift cement tariffs.

)has called on Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans to temporarily lift tariffs This is a list of tariffs and trade legislation:

  • List of tariffs in Russia
 imposed upon Mexican cement products.

The request came in light of domestic price increases and reported shortages of cement in many parts of the country.

"Cement demand has increased more than eight percent in the last six months as the U.S. economy has improved," noted AGC CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Stephen E. Sandherr.

"Removing duties on Mexican cement, which have been set at $57 per ton, would provide contractors with an additional source of cement and have a desired effect on spiking prices," Sandherr added.
