AG publishers host breakfast.

Last month, the American Business Media (ABM) Agri-Council hosted its annual breakfast for agri-marketers, held in conjunction with the FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.

Among the attendees were (1 to r) Captain Jonathan Harvey, U.S. Army; John Becherer, CEO, United Soybean Board (USB); Gary Vorpahl, Chmn, ABM AgriCouncil, Dir of Mktg, Hoard's Dairyman; Glenn Stith, NAFTA Bus Lead, Seminis Seeds, and Doug DeVries, Sr VP Worldwide Mktg, John Deere.

Beckerer was the meeting's keynote speaker and reported on USB's "Soy 2020 Vision Report" which provides direction to the soybean and its interested parties for a successful future, based on colleration by all of its partners.

He also reported, that due to increased prices, USB's portion of the soybean checkoff fund will grow from $45 million in FY 2007 to $51 million in FY 2008.
