), has developed a metalcasting sand benchmarking survey to gather this important information.

More metalcasting facilities must participate in this confidential survey in order to accurately quantify how much sand is available for potential reuse; determine what types of metalcasting facilities have sand available; characterize current reuse and disposal practices; identify common barriers to reuse; and highlight on going success stories. This information is necessary to support cooperation with the EPA.

Any facility interested in participating in this effort can download a copy of the survey from www.moderncasting.com at the for more information link.

All completed survey forms should be returned to AFS by Nov. 1 via fax at 847/824-7848.
