The foundry industry, in the U.S. and worldwide, continues to be an extremely lucrative marketplace. Attesting to this fact are the 109 firms that exhibited in for the first time CastExpo '90. Some are international and some domestic, but all of them have available new technology applicable to the production of castings. The international aspect of CastExpo continues to grow with 41 countries outside the U.S. and Canada being represented in the over 14,000 attendees at CastExpo '90 in Detroit. It is fully expected that international participation of both foundrymen and exhibitors will continue to increase as we move through the '90s.
