AFL and Pacific Insight Awarded Major PACCAR Module Business.

FRANKLIN, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2003

AFL AFL: see American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.  Automotive's Specialty Products Group ("AFL") and Pacific Insight Electronics Corp. ("Pacific Insight") jointly announce today that AFL has awarded to Pacific Insight the design and supply of a solid state turn stalk stalk (stawk) an elongated anatomical structure resembling the stem of a plant.

 control module for PACCAR PACCAR Pacific Car and Foundry Company (former railroad car manufacturer now parent corp of Peterbilt & Kenworth Truck)  Inc. The module will be used on the majority of PACCAR's Class 8 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. The module will be introduced into production in July 2004 with annual volumes reaching up to 40,000 units.

The turn stalk module is one of a number of joint sales initiatives that AFL and Pacific Insight are currently working on in the commercial transportation market. Examples of key vehicle functions controlled by the module are turn signals, intermittent intermittent /in·ter·mit·tent/ (-mit´ent) marked by alternating periods of activity and inactivity.
