AFGHANISTAN - Oct. 3 - Army Grows.


The army, struggling to keep soldiers from dropping out because of low pay, grows by a battalion battalion

Tactical military organization composed of a headquarters and two or more companies, batteries, or similar units and usually commanded by a field-grade officer such as a lieutenant colonel.
 as the latest batch of troops graduate from a basic training course led by US special forces. The battalion is the 3rd to complete the 10-week course and brings the total number of soldiers in the new army to about 1,270, says Sergeant Don Dees Donald "Don" Dee (born August 9, 1943 in Booneville, Maryland) is an American former basketball player.
