More homely than aphorisms, proverbs generally refer to common experience and are often expressed in metaphor, alliteration, or rhyme, e.g. : "If a Tadjik is not part Pashtun he is not a Tadjik. And if a Pashtun is not part Tadjik he is not a Pashtun". The new government will rule for 18 months to two years until a new loya jirga organises elections and a new constitution.
