AF&PA scales Paper Summit.


The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) is the third major industry association to sign on as a primary sponsor of the 2002 Paper Summit, the leading pulp and paper industry The global pulp and paper industry is dominated by North American (United States, Canada), northern European (Finland, Sweden) and East Asian countries (such as Japan). The show was purchased from TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry  by paper-loop in April 2001 and is managed by paperloop events. AF&PA, based in Washington, D.C., joins PIMA and TAPPI as primary sponsors. "We are very pleased to support the leading exposition for the pulp and paper industry," said Stephany East, senior director of business development of AF&PA. "Along with paper-loop events, PIMA and TAPPI, we will contribute to the development and enhancement of the various programs that will be featured throughout the event."

The Paper Summit (formerly "the TAPPI Show") is held very three years in Atlanta and attracts more than 500 exhibitors and 9000 attendees. As sponsors, AF&PA, PIMA and TAPPI will assist in the promotion and marketing of the event to their combined membership base, as well as participate in the Conference Advisory Committee. They will also have the opportunity to conduct sessions in the Paper Summit's conference tracks including management, maintenance, papermaking pa·per·mak·ing
