AES NewEnergy Receives Certification to Sell Electricity in Texas.Business Editors AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2001 AES NewEnergy has been approved as a Retail Electric Provider, licensed to sell electricity to retail customers throughout the state of Texas. The Commission issued an Order Granting Certification earlier this week. The Order recognized that "AES NewEnergy possesses the managerial, financial and technical resources to provide continuous and adequate service to its customers throughout the state of Texas."
