:AES) announced today that it has closed the financing for a $215 million facility at AES Guayama Holdings, BV, the AES subsidiary that indirectly owns the 454 MW clean coal-fired AES Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla.  power plant in Guayama, Puerto Rico Coordinates:

The financing is a 15-year facility carrying a fixed rate of approximately 9.50%. The proceeds will be used to further strengthen liquidity.
