A mechanical failure inside the machine caused a spark that ignited the material in the machine. An automatic fire control system extinguished ex·tin·guish

 the primary fire, then the Springdale Fire Department assisted with inspection and cleanup to assure there was no risk of re-ignition. The fire caused a few hundred dollars damage, mostly to insulation above the machine. The plant was temporarily shut down as a safety precaution, but resumed operations later that night.
