LANCASTER -- Downtown Lancaster will host two events today: the 17th annual Aerospace Walk of Honor The Aerospace Walk of Honor in Lancaster, California, USA, is a continually-growing venue for honoring test pilots who have significantly contributed to aviation and space research and development.  induction ceremony and the Celebrate Downtown street festival.

Walk of Honor honorees will include test pilots Mervin Evenson, John Griffith John Griffith may refer to:

Honorees will gather at noon today for the unveiling of the bronze monuments in Boeing Plaza at Lancaster Boulevard and Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. Headline entertainment at 7:30 p.m. is the retro-swing band Cherry Poppin' Daddies. There is also a free concert at 6 p.m. from the Air Force Band of the Golden West's Mobility ensemble.

Also featured will be a farmers market with fresh fruits and vegetables, plants and flowers; wine tasting; fine-arts booths, and vendors selling handmade stained glass and ceramics, textiles and other merchandise.
