AEQUITRON EXPANDS MANUFACTURING PLANT BY 38 PERCENT
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Aequitron Medical, Inc.

(NASDAQ-NMS: AQTN) announced today that it is expanding the manufacturing plant of its Crow River Industries subsidiary by 12,600 square feet. With the expansion, the Brooten, Minn. facility will include 33,000 square feet, an increase of 38 percent.
The Brooten plant has traditionally housed manufacturing functions for the production of Crow River wheelchair lifts, ramps and related accessories for people who face mobility challenges. The extra space is required to meet the growing demands for Crow River products and to provide adequate space to manufacture new product offerings. The plant will also accommodate production of automobile hand controls, which were previously manufactured at another site.
Curtis J. Olson, president and CEO of Aequitron and its Crow River Industries subsidiary said, "The plant is laid out in a horseshoe design, allowing for a smooth, continuous manufacturing flow and easy access to a centrally located warehouse. We are pleased with the efficient design of the plant and are proud to be growing this segment of our business so that more space is needed."
The overall cost of the expansion will be $165,000 with construction scheduled for completion in late December of this year. The City of Brooten's Economic Development Committee is supporting the expansion through low-interest loans.
Aequitron Medical, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets electronic products for home health care and hospital use; and wheelchair lifts and automobile hand control devices for people who face mobility challenges. The company's common stock is traded on the National Market System under the NASDAQ symbol AQTN.
