AEP Industries Inc. announces executive management appointments.


HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 1, 1996--AEP Industries Inc. (Nasdaq:AEPI) announced today four executive management appointments.

John Powers The name John Powers can refer to:
  • John A. "Shorty" Powers (1923 - 1980), public affairs officer for NASA
  • John Holbrook Powers, Nebraska politician
  • John Powers (mayor), former mayor of Spokane, Washington
, 32, has been named to Corporate Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Powers is a seven year employee of the Company who previously served as Executive Vice President responsible for the Industrial Products Division.

Lawrence Noll, 48, has been named Vice President, Controller and Secretary. Mr. Noll is a 16 year employee of the Company who previously served as Vice President of Finance. He will remain a member of the Company's Board of Directors.

Robert House Robert J. House is a professor of management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, formerly of the University of Toronto. His areas of expertise include leadership, motivation, personality and performance, as well as cross-cultural organizational behavior. , 52, has been appointed Vice President responsible for Taxes. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. House was International Tax Manager of Avnet Inc., a distributor of electrical components.

James B. Rafferty, 44, has been appointed Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rafferty served as Director of Treasury of Borden, Inc.
