AEIA makes coverage and pricing changes.

The American Excess Insurance Assocation (AEIA), also known as the American Slip, has begun offering broader excess liability coverage and more attractive pricing. "These changes by the associaiton are made possible by our excellent results for the past five years." says Clinton Greene, president of Farmington Management Inc., which handles AEIA's underwriting, administration and claims.

Some of the recent policy changes are the inclusion of a 60-day extended reporting period; amending the definition of insured to facilitate the inclusion of certain entities; narrowing the pollution exclusion as it relates to injury or damage to any undeground water or watercourse; expanding the broad form property damage coverage to include completed operations; revising the occurrence definition; including non-owned aricraft coverage in the basic policy; increasing the extended reporting period option; and eliminating the medical malpractice exclusion requirement for hospitals.

AEIA's new policy must be approved in each state.
