AEG New York Soccer takes New Jersey space.

 Soccer Inc. signed a 16,326 s/f sublease with Herrick Feinstein LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  at Two Penn Plaza East in Newark, N.J.

The firm will move into the 11th floor location by May and occupy the space until June 2010.

Norman Baker, managing principal with Newmark Knight Frank, represented AEG in the transaction.

Owned by Hartz Mountain Industries Hartz Mountain Industries (HMI) is a private family owned and operated company known for its vast real estate holdings in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan Area. Its former parent Hartz Mountain Corporation (of pet products fame), was founded by German-American businessman Max , Two Penn Plaza East is a 12-story, class A office building spanning 400,000 s/f. The building features integrated parking and ground floor retail.

In addition, the building overlooks the site of the new MetroStars Stadium in Harrison, which is set to break ground in the second quarter of this year.

 box suite and promote the stadium's first-class amenities. The MetroStars front office operations will also move into the space.

The soccer stadium will feature 43 high-end, luxury box suites each with 16 seats on a terrace and a wet bar. The 20,000-seat stadium, which will also double as a music venue, is expected to open in the second half of 2007.

Cushman & Wakefield Inc.'s Gary Greenspan and John Marks represented Herrick Feinstein in the transaction.
