AEF: EXPORTING FREE ENTERPRISE TO FORMER SOVIET UNION

The American Economic Foundation (AEF) has long enjoyed the reputation of being a leader in economic education in the U.S. and throughout much of the world. Its book, "How We Live," has been distributed to millions and has been translated into eight languages. In 1993, the foundation began its most ambitious effort to date -- the establishment of seminars in three of the most important cities in the Commonwealth of Independent States -- Moscow, Minsk, and St. Petersburg.
The second group of 1993 will be leaving on Sept. 25 and will return on Oct. 3. They follow a successful trip that took place from July 3-10. This trip's team includes professionals in health care, law, marketing, and economics.
In light of the fact that a number of the members are going on their second trip in 1993, this team provides unique interview opportunities for the media to obtain first-hand information on how much this country has changed over the last three months.
Scheduled presentations will deal with the major elements of free market economics to the practical elements of starting and running a business. These seminars will be of interest to many groups -- academics, politicians, and, of course, aspiring entrepreneurs.
AEF is proud of its contribution to this part of the world. More than sending financial assistance, the foundation is providing the tools to make this region prosperous as it enters the 21st century.
