AECdirect has selected IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  to build and maintain its online work site for the design and construction industry. AECdirect is a new Internet See Web 2.0 and Internet2.  company delivering productivity tools and services to meet the changing needs of today's design and building industry professionals.

IBM is working with AECdirect to develop a comprehensive e-business strategy that will position the company at the forefront of the surging design and construction Internet market space. In addition, IBM's Atlanta Center was engaged to design, build and deploy the AECdirect.com portal, which recently opened for business.
