AEA Names Hahn Executive Director of Bay Area Council; Former SEMI Executive To Lead High Tech Group in Silicon Valley.

Robin Hahn has been named Executive Director of the 900-member Bay Area Council of the American Electronics Association (AEA).

Hahn joins AEA from Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) where she served for eight years, most recently as Public Policy Director. Before that she was Director of European Programs and Standards, based in Brussels.

As Public Policy Director for SEMI, Hahn managed global workforce development projects, California public policy activities, and related press relations programs. She worked closely with the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), Join Venture Silicon Valley Network (JVSV), and AEA. Prior to that, as Director of European Programs and Standards, she directed the SEMI Brussels office which planned and implemented business and technology programs for the 20-nation European Region.

Most recently, Hahn managed an SIA-JVSV-SEMI industry awareness program for more than 110 educators and industry executives, a women's networking and mentoring luncheon, legislative briefings and Silicon Valley tours for government officials.

Hahn also has held executive positions at KLA Instruments Corp., Ungermann-Bass, Inc., and Synertek, Inc.

In addition to B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from San Jose State University, Hahn holds a certificate in non-profit management. She is a member of the American Association of Association Executives and the American Society for Training and Development.
