AEA received the award for CyberEducation: U.S. Education and the High Technology Workforce, a report published in April 1999. CyberEducation for the first time provides documented data and analysis on the status of U.S. education in preparing students for the demanding jobs evolving in the high-tech industry. Its national and state-by-state results present a warning that too few K-12 students are selecting the math and science courses necessary to prepare for advanced technical degrees.
