ADVO And Denver Post Agree to Joint Advertising Distribution Program.

: AD), the nation's largest targeted direct mail marketing company, today announced it will join with The Denver Denver, city (1990 pop. 467,610), alt. 5,280 ft (1,609 m), state capital, coextensive with Denver co., N central Colo., on a plateau at the foot of the Front Range of the Rocky Mts., along the South Platte River where Cherry Creek meets it; inc. 1861.  Post, Colorado's largest newspaper, to offer clients a new, integrated print advertising distribution product.

The new initiative is designed to offer clients a combination of targeted direct mail and newspaper advertising distribution. The Denver program is scheduled to begin in January January: see month.  2000. The program marks the first of several newspaper partnerships ADVO plans to establish in major markets going forward. The company recently established a new, stand-alone Strategic Business Development group to actively pursue such initiatives.

Under the agreement, both companies will combine their clients' promotions into a new single package under ADVO's brand name. The new package replaces the Denver Post Local Values product and will be targeted to consumers through a combination of direct mail and newspaper distribution.
