Zhone Technologies, Inc., the first company dedicated to building

services, will be presenting a free seminar in Seattle, Wash., on
August 2, 2000. The series will address recent FCC regulatory
changes that affect the business models of carriers nationwide.
The event is the fourth in a series of 16 seminars that will take
place throughout the United States, culminating in New York City,
in September 2000, and is sponsored by the Association for Local
Telecommunications Services (ALTS) and X-Change Magazine. Series
hosts are Zhone Technologies, and Kelley Drye and Warren LLP, a
leading law firm for the telecommunications industry. The seminar
will discuss key issues facing carriers as a result of the 1996
Telecommunications Act, including its effect on network planning
for CLECs.
