Foundation of America (AAFA SoCal) and health experts from
LA County + USC Hospital will present recent asthma
statistics and discuss their free mobile asthma care unit
and other effective strategies to prevent asthma deaths
and school-absenteeism among asthmatic children from
low-resource families.

--There are more than 5,300 deaths from asthma annually in

--Asthma has reached epidemic proportions in California
and across the United States.
--Asthma is the most under diagnosed childhood disease,
and many children from low-resource families do not get
treated for their asthma until they are in the emergency
room after life-threatening attacks.
