WHAT:       The 2004 Towering Termite Tour, the world's largest
            traveling interactive termite exhibit housed in a
            two-story high inflatable termite, is swarming into
            Raleigh just in time for North Carolina Termite Awareness
            Month, April 2004. Designed to educate and entertain kids
            and their parents, the belly of this bug (which is 69,000
            times the size of a real termite) houses terrariums of
            real termite colonies, unusual materials attacked by
            termites like piano keys and magazines, fun learning
            games, strange but true termite facts (for every human on
            Earth, entomologists calculate there may be as many as
            1,000 pounds of termites!) and valuable take home
            information for parents. Admission to the event is free.

WHY:        North Carolina Governor Michael F. Easley has proclaimed
            April 2004 to be North Carolina Termite Awareness Month.
            Termidor Termite Control supports his effort to educate
            North Carolina families about the newest, most effective
            ways to protect their homes from costly termite damage,
            while providing an enriching and entertaining science
            exhibit to curious youngsters.
