WHO: Wired 96.5, WRDW-FM, a Beasley Broadcast Group radio station,
and sponsor Auto FX have teamed up to rescue Philadelphia area
listeners from riding around in shame.
WHAT: After pouring over the submission of thousands of e-mails
and photos of beat up old rides, Wired and Auto FX selected the
VW Jetta of a lucky Philadelphia area listener to have her car
pimped-out by the Auto FX team. After replacing the wheels,
applying a fresh coat of Ferrari red paint, overhauling the
interior, and installing a pumping stereo, Philadelphia's first
pimped ride is ready to roll and will be returned to its lucky
owner this afternoon. Today's ceremony marks the first in a
series of cars Wired and the Auto FX team plan to pimp-out,
ensuring that Philly listeners' rides are as stylin' as their
owners.
