Sean McDermott to Discuss Trends and Strategies for Achieving
Service-Based Management
What: Many organizations are utilizing tools such as network,
systems, application, and transaction management functions
to gain visibility into their IT infrastructure. While
these tools are collecting mass amounts of data, the
network administrators are challenged with aggregating
this information to provide knowledge of the overarching
services and how they are performing related to user
expectations. This includes service level management,
correlation, and probable cause analysis.
Sean McDermott, founder and president of Windward
Consulting Group, will highlight the current trends in
operational management and identify strategies to help
companies gain better control of IT resources.
Who: Sean McDermott founded Windward Consulting Group in 1997
and is currently the president and CEO. Prior to founding
Windward, he was with Booz Allen Hamilton where he was
responsible for building an enterprise technology
management services practice. McDermott has also held
positions within the Department of Justice and was
responsible for building and supporting several of its
nationwide networks.
Windward provides consulting services to organizations
that rely on their IT infrastructure as a key business
asset and strive to increase IT efficiencies.
