WHY: Responding to a $15 million emergency fundraising
drive, Wilmington Trust (NYSE:WL) is offering The
Barnes its financial expertise to develop a
long-term business plan, along with a $500,000 grant
over five years. The Barnes collection holds
thousands of objects, including famous Impressionist
and Post-Impressionist paintings, along with fine
examples of American and European decorative arts,
works on paper, Native American art, African art,
and antiquities.
