WHAT: There is going to be something new in the air on Friday
(Oct. 17) during the Ohio State University homecoming parade
and pep rally, and chances are the annual event has yet to see
an entry this long or this revealing. Yahoo! -- the Internet's
popular search service -- is making its debut in the OSU parade
       with a 15-foot Traveling Search Billboard and a 30-foot
       floating Search Bar.

Yahoo!'s Traveling Search Billboard, a 15-foot video cargo
truck, will reveal updated animated Ohio State-related search
results along the back -- and Buckeye fans might be surprised
by what other OSU fans are searching for. Also during the
parade, bringing literal meeting to the parade term "float," a
30-foot long Yahoo! Search bar balloon will be flying behind
the Traveling Billboard on the parade route. The search bars
seen on both the truck and the balloon appear identical to the
ones used by millions each day on Yahoo!.

Some of the OSU-related searches parade-goers will see on the
Traveling Billboard: top Buckeye Traditions Searches ("hang on
sloopy," "OSUMB," "TBDTIBL" and more), OSU Football Legend
Searches (No. 1 Archie Griffin) and top 2003 OSU Player
Searches (No. 1 Tim Anderson). Listed below is a sneak peek of
search results that will appear on the truck.

The Traveling Billboard is fresh off visits around the country
at popular events, including last week's California
gubernatorial recall election, Emmy Awards, Seattle's
Bumbershoot music festival, and the Michigan-Notre Dame
football game -- in each case, revealing relative search terms
around the event. The Traveling Billboard is a reflection and
snapshot of popular searches on Yahoo! Search, which takes the
pulse of pop culture in real-time.
